Most molecules have a mirror image. Ketamine is no different. Spravato is simply the mirror image of Ketamine.
The kicker is that Ketamine is past it's patent life. Spravato has never been patented, so it's just a huge money grab.
The downside, is that it's not as effective as an anti-depressant as the original formulation of Ketamine, which sucks, but at least it's going mainstream.
I'd be ok with it if it at least went (free) to our Veterans as a result. PTSD is another disorder that Ketamine helps with. Imagine leaving the service, and having a bank of free Ketamine sessions waiting for when the PTSD kicks in?!
