• Private Room:
  

  • I think its good to have something to distract you a little, in case you get overwhelmed. I love Moving Art for this. It’s on Netflix, and KWC gives me the remote.

  • I think this is key, so you aren’t distracted by others and what they are watching.

  • My second session had me repeating a mantra “I’m doing this to fix myself” over and over, because I was apprehensive about paying another $500 for something that only lasted a few days…

• Private Nurse:
  

  • One nurse to take care of you if anything happens, sitting right there, paying attention to your blood pressure and blood oxygen.

  • Feeling safe is also key, because when that drug takes you, you don’t have a choice, and that can be scary, if you have a dominant personality.

  • When I get spinning on a thought process, I can have the nurse make a note for me to read afterwards. Memory is usually not really a thing.

• Infusion Machine:
  

  • They have a very exact infusion machine.

  • The doctor measures out the Ketamine in a tiny syringe, then puts that into a larger syringe containing saline.

  • This is then put into a machine that slowly infuses you with the drug/saline combo.

  • For reference, I’d guess the amount of saline between Infusion/DripBag is 1 to 20.
