Recovered from Denver, just to get into a meeting with my Boss and the COO, where they proceeded to interrogate and try to trip me up about my plan, and armchair develop it. The plan I've explained multiple times to multiple people. The plan that is WORKING.

So that sent me into a tailspin. That's like my whole job.

I thought I found a friend, but was mistaken.

They are finally getting me resources, after I threatened to quit. I shouldn't have to threaten to quit. The new CIO is supposed to fix everything. I've been bitten by this company so many times, I'm hesitant.

Worst case scenario, I take my data warehouse tech, and go to our Point of Sale vendor, I doubt they have anything this deeply transformed. I'd just re-write the entire damn thing from memory. I did it twice, I can do it again.

This is the book I read, back in 2009, that gave me some source code, which I then fixed and extended into an Enterprise class reporting engine, sans client access licenses. In two months.
