Fear is the mind-killer

I defeated it a little yesterday. Baby steps, right?!

Took Romeo for some park time, but it was nearly 100 degrees, so decided to drive around so I could watch him smile with his tongue flapping out in my Jeep's KikBax mirrors. He looks so happy when he's had a good run, and all he has to do is open his mouth to cool off.

Was feeling good, so I kept driving, eventually deciding to hit the trails and do some wheelin. 20 minutes later, I'm flying in the desert at Table Mesa Rd. Did some moderate wheeling, nothing crazy because it's not a good idea to do that alone. Need to take her in for a bolt-check.

Right when I hit the dirt, two really good songs came on.

The first one was Find Yourself, reminds me of a great movie My Science Project (1985):

Looking at life through a loaded gun

Take your best shot, aim it at the sun

The second was a good song about my other driving force, which my Mom taught me by being/living a cautionary tale, lol:

And I will never be like you.

(I'm a beautiful alien)

No, I will never be like you.

(I'm a beautiful alien)

Even aired down to 25 psi, using my knockoff SpeedFlate. It airs up and down all 4 tires at once. Elegant, cheap-ish, portable solution. Have parts on order to rectify my poor choice of materials. Remembered to get some dirt. Labeled it Mindbloom.

Shooting a commercial for my Sockettier this weekend with an old buddy. Should be interesting. I already want to cancel and veg/sleep.
